Soy Diego. He corrido 4,322 tests A/B/n en push notification ads entre 2018 y 2023 dentro de iAdvize. De esos, 188 fueron dating LATAM hispano (Tinder, Bumble, Inner Circle, Hinge, y operadores regionales tipo Yumi, Mocospace LATAM). Distribución por GEO: MX 64, AR 48, CO 38, CL 22, PE 16. Salí de iAdvize en marzo 2024. Relación de comisión con adsy.tech vía UTM disclosed.

Dating en LATAM es un vertical específico. No es EU dating (donde Google + Meta dominan), no es US dating (donde el LTV permite CAC alto), no es adult dating (donde TwinRed + ExoClick ganan). Es mainstream dating en mercados Tier-2 con economía de CPM distinta, audience Chrome mobile dominante, y métrica honesta de match-rate-día-7 versus CTR. Entre Q1 2020 y Q4 2023 corrí 188 tests A/B/n en push para dating mainstream LATAM hispano. Distribución: MX 64, AR 48, CO 38, CL 22, PE 16. Lo que el dataset muestra:

El caso del creative que "ganó" CTR y perdió match-rate

Q3 2022, iAdvize, advertiser dating mainstream sirviendo MX Chrome mobile. Test A/B entre variant A "Tu match perfecto te espera" (emotional appeal) versus variant B "Conoce gente en tu zona — gratis" (utility appeal). Día 5, agencia declaró ganador: variant B CTR 3.84%, variant A 2.42%, n≈4,200 por arm, "+59% lift". Pidió escalar variant B al 100%.

Lo bloqueé. Razón: pre-registramos como métrica de éxito match-rate-día-7, no CTR día-5. Insistí en seguir el run hasta n=9,400 imps por arm + medir match-rate-día-7.

Resultado completo: variant B CTR 3.62%, signup-completion rate 64%, profile-completion 38%, first-match-día-7 12%. Match-rate-día-7 sobre clicks: 2.9%. Variant A CTR 2.31%, signup-completion 78%, profile-completion 62%, first-match-día-7 28%. Match-rate-día-7 sobre clicks: 17.3%. Variant A produjo 6x más matches-por-click que variant B, a pesar de tener -40% CTR.

El "+59% lift" de variant B era click-bait — atraía users curious-without-intent que clicaban "gratis" pero no completaban profile. Variant A atraía users con intent claro de buscar match, que completaron profile y matched. CAC por match-día-7 variant B: $14.20. Variant A: $2.40. Variant A ganaba 6x.

La lección operativa para dating: optimizar sobre CTR es optimizar sobre noise filtered through bot-and-curious-without-intent traffic. La métrica honesta es match-rate-día-7 sobre clicks, no CTR. Las redes que solo te muestran CTR + signup-click te están dando una métrica engañosa. Qué cambió en 2026 para dating LATAM

Tres cambios estructurales movieron la economía en 18 meses.
